Social and Community Affairs and Local Authorities Cluster Interface Meeting on 2025/2026 Social Sector Budget Analysis was conducted to discuss issues which were highlighted during the analysis, the focus during the interface was on Basic Education, ECD, Gender and Disability aspect.
The meeting was patronized by a total of 47 participants with 26 male, 19 females, a boy and a girl.
Key reflections of the interface lingered on three issues.
The first reflection was from a Member of Parliament who upon keen observation on the presentations, which suggested on an increase in allocations in different sectors which seem to be inadequate, he was concerned as to where the Government can inquire the resources to accommodate the necessary increases.
Another uttered reflection was on a concern as country actions towards pining point the root cause of poor performance by the basic education sector.
The last topic reflected was on caregivers, where the honoraria aspect was not clearly showed in the budget documents
