The coalition developed integrated ACERWC COBs implementation framework: Malawi signed and ratified the African charter on the rights and welfare of the child. To fulfil the obligations of State Parties to the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child, Malawi government is obligated to write treaty reports to the ACERWC committee, which helps the committee to track progress in implementing the Charter’s provisions and address any issues or difficulties encountered. CSOs and children are also obligated to write their own reports which provide an independent holistic overview of child rights status in the country. The Malawi government, received the COBS from the ACERWC in January 2025, before the dissemination and popularization of the COBS commences, NGO CCR conducted a two days’ workshop to simplify the COBS by developing integrated implementation framework, for easy dissemination and popularization in districts and to partners. CSOs strengthening capacity project partners successfully developed the implementation framework.
