CSOs UPR civic space reporting documentation

During the CSOs UPR civic space reporting documentation, the NGO Coalition on Child Rights (NGO CCR) played a pivotal role in facilitating the documentation of the Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Civic Space Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Report. This initiative was carried out in close collaboration with the Malawi Human Rights Resource Centre (MHRRC) and aimed at consolidating key civic space concerns, experiences, and recommendations from a wide range of non-state actors across the country. Through consultative meetings, stakeholder engagements, and evidence-gathering processes, CCR ensured that critical issues affecting the operational environment for CSOs such as restrictions on freedom of expression, association, and assembly were adequately captured and reflected in the UPR submission. The report represents a collective civil society voice and serves as a strategic advocacy tool for promoting accountability, transparency, and an enabling civic space in Malawi.
