We defend and expand civic space to ensure civil society organizations and child-led groups can operate freely and contribute meaningfully to governance. This includes legal advocacy, capacity support, and coalition-building to protect fundamental freedoms.
This is a space/platform, physical or digital, where people (not governments or businesses) come together to exercise their human rights and core freedoms. Civic work helps shape our politics, economies, and social realities. Civic Space enables people-whether alone or with others, physically or online-to be active in their communities, to speak out, to organize, to gather together in protest or to help one another, and to participate in the governance of their community, area, or country.
NGO CCR therefore;
- Strengthens CSO’s capacity to analyse context and efficiently address challenges in context.
- Analyse how civic space in the Malawian context impact children, civil society organisations and NGO CCR organization in different dimensions.
- Enable the formulation of efficient strategies so that SC work supports an enabling civic space for civil society and children.
