NGO CCR advocates for open, inclusive, and accountable public finance systems that prioritize child rights. Our work involves budget analysis, citizen engagement, and monitoring of public expenditure on services that affect children.
NGO CCR with support from its Partners ensures that each and every year people are presented with a Citizen Budget that is well translated for people to be able to understand where government will be taking its revenue in that particular year and how it is going to be spending it. Citizen Budgets and Open Budget are transparent, offer opportunities for inclusive public participation, and include well-function
oversight by independent institutions like parliament and audit office. NGO CCR also encourages people to question the government where need be to ensure that there is accountability and transparency in government spending.
By doing the following, NGO CCR ensures that it achieves this program;
- Conduct Open Budget Surveys
- Disseminate Findings on OBS
- Conducts Joint Monitoring visits to Districts to ensure accountability and transparency of district officials when it comes to budgets
- Conduct High Level Training on OBS
