The NGO Coalition on Child Rights supported its partners in the TiKuMA Consortium; the Malawi Girl Guides Association (MAGGA) in Balaka and the Girls Empowerment Network (GENET) in Mchinji during a capacity-building exercise for community Child Parliamentarians. As part of efforts to promote meaningful child participation, the TIKUMA project is establishing Children’s Parliaments in targeted communities. These platforms are designed to provide children with a structured space where they can freely discuss the issues that affect their lives and contribute to decision-making processes within their communities.
