NGO CCR on behalf of all CSOs that are involved in Child Affairs in Malawi reports to Regional and International bodies on the status of the promotion and protection on the rights of children as supplementary reports alongside the report that is sent by Government. These reports are sent to UNCRC, ACRWC and UPR.
NGO CCR also facilitates the Child- Led and Child Informed Reports that are also sent to the Regional and International bodied. These reports are written by children themselves, and this adheres to the fundamental principle of “participation” stated in all UNCRC and ACRWIC.
NGO CCR therefore;
· Documents Child informed and Child-Led Reports · Facilitate development of Concluding Observations · Monitors the implementation of Concluding Observations
International Child Rights Treaty reporting mechanisms
- Domestication of Child rights and disability inclusion international Instruments and Treaties by the State (UNCRC, UNCRPD, and ACRWC.
- Leading and coordinating CSOs in documentation, submission and monitoring of periodic supplementary reports on Treat Instruments
- Technical support to Children in documentation, submission and monitoring of periodic supplementary child-led reports on Treat Instruments
- Popularization and tracking implementation of COBs on treaty instruments
