NGO CCR strengthens and scales up coordination of CSO’s efforts towards protection and promotion of child rights in Malawi. As a National Coalition, NGOCCR also coordinates and harmonizes CSO reporting on international Child Rights Treaties and instruments like UNCRC, UNCRPD and ACRWC.
NGO CCR coordinates its programs using the following strategies;
· Review Meetings · Information Sharing and Knowledge Management · Networking and Partnerships · Joint strategy planning
- Joint National Taskforces for formulating of relevant laws and development of policies and national plans
- Investment in children through the CSO Caucus on Public finance for children (including girls)
- Treaty reporting and implementation of Concluding observations and recommendations eg dissemination, and development of implementation frameworks and co-financing of implementation
- Joint planning eg the National Strategy on ending Child marriages
- Sectoral networks coordination meetings, Symposiums, dialogues and engagements
- Girl child empowerment and participation in influencing policy level decision making eg through District and National Children’s Parliament, SADC and AU Children Forum
- Coordinate and collaborate with MHRC on treaty reporting and monitoring of Violence against children including girls
